Hinterland tickets 2025: See the cheapest prices, schedule, full lineup for Iowa-based music festival

The largest music festival in Iowa returns, as the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater and Event Center hosts Hinterland. 

Hinterland started in 2015 and has gone from two to three days. The music festival has found the next big things in music. Artists who have performed include TV on the Radio, The War and Treaty, Zach Bryan, Bon Iver, Hozier and more.

The event also includes craft vendors, yoga, and a silent disco. Those options bring in more attendees, whether it's those who follow known or often obscure artists. Sam Summers, the festival organizer, believes its current format is perfect, at least compared to other festivals. 

“I am not going to do it just to do it,” Summers told Little Village Mag. “It is really stressful, but it is worth it right now. So, I figure this keeps going forever, right now in my mind, I’d like to keep it intimate — 15,000 is intimate for a festival.

"Bonnaroo or some of these others are like 100,000. That’s a lot of people. Keeping it single-stage. That is something that is important to me. Keeping it in the country is important. Those things will stay constant, and we’ll work around with lineups and branding each year.”

A three-day pass to Hinterland has tickets starting at $395. V.I.P. tickets can range from $800 to $1,198. 

Tickets for August 1 ONLY,  featuring Tyler, the Creator and Clairo, start at $245, with prices reaching $799. 

Tickets for August 2 ONLY, featuring Kacey Musgraves and The Marias, start at $241. Prices then reach up to $737. 

Tickets for August 3 ONLY, featuring Lana Del Ray and Bleachers, start at $250 and reach up to $737. 

Hinterland 2025 Camping & Parking info

Prices vary on parking depending on the method utilized. There are multiple styles of camping/ticket options at Hinterland: 

• Tent Camping: Tickets do not include parking
• Car Camping: Includes parking for one vehicle
• RV: Includes a companion vehicle parking pass for in and out use
• Glamping: Tickets do not include parking
• SAINTS: Tickets include one Premium Parking pass

Every vehicle entering Hinterland will require a parking pass. Parking lots open at 9 a.m. each day. Festival gates open at 12 p.m. each day. Tent Camping check-in times will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Car, RV, Glamping, and SAINTS check-in times are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. the rest of the weekend.
