Making a living in Helluva Boss usually involves a dangerous assignment and someone making the situation considerably worse. Even when the characters have a plan, getting everyone to follow it is another matter. For fans, watching things fall apart is part of the fun, especially when the consequences become someone else’s problem.
That chaos also makes the series a promising fit for tabletop gaming. Put a group of friends in charge of dangerous magic, give them a shared goal, and there’s plenty of potential for a successful evening to become a disaster. The Goetia offer an opportunity to explore more of that supernatural world, with a challenge that requires everyone at the table to cooperate.
Collider can exclusively reveal Helluva Boss: The Seven Sigils, a cooperative strategy and puzzle board game for two to four players from Warren James Games and SpindleHorse. Developed in collaboration with Vivienne Medrano, the game casts players as Goetia experimenting with the dangerous magical power of Sin Shards. Everyone wins or loses together as they attempt to complete all seven Sigils before their experiments spiral out of control. Pre-registration is open now ahead of the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, with a free pin available with any pledge for fans who sign up.

Needle Down Your Soul Is Made Of…
Four genres, four completely different jobs that music can do for a person. Here is the one you are built out of, what it says about how you feel things, and where to start if you want more of it.
Rock
Your soul runs on volume. Rock is the genre that turns a feeling into something you can shout in a room full of strangers, and you have never once seen the point of keeping the emotion small.
- You feel things at full size and you want the music to match, which is why a riff can do more for you than a paragraph.
- The whole genre rests on one very old trick, which is a guitar figure so good that everybody in the building recognises it in two seconds.
- Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman both made enormous money by putting that feeling on a cinema screen, and both climaxed with a live performance for good reason.
- You would rather a song with a flaw in it than a perfect one that leaves you sitting still.
Soul
Your soul runs on feeling, delivered by a voice. Soul music never hides behind cleverness, which is why it lands harder than almost anything else and why it has aged better than most of what came after it.
- You want to be moved rather than impressed, and a performance that holds something back will always leave you cold.
- Motown and Stax built the modern pop song between them, and almost every chorus written since owes one of them something.
- Summer of Soul unearthed footage of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival that sat in a basement for fifty years, and it won the Oscar for best documentary.
- You are the friend people play a song to rather than explain themselves to, because they know it will land.
Hip-Hop
Your soul runs on words. Hip-hop is the only major genre where the writing is the main event, and you are somebody who notices the turn of phrase before you notice anything else in the room.
- You listen for what somebody is telling you, and a song with nothing to say will lose you inside thirty seconds.
- Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer Prize for DAMN. in 2018, the first time the music award went outside classical or jazz.
- Straight Outta Compton made more than two hundred million dollars by taking the genre's origin story seriously as cinema.
- You keep lines the way other people keep photographs, and you can still recite ones you first heard as a teenager.
Jazz
Your soul runs on the thing nobody planned. Jazz is the one genre built around the idea that the best moment of the night has never happened before and will never happen again, which is a fairly demanding way to love music.
- You are drawn to the strange choice over the obvious one, and you would rather be puzzled than comfortable.
- Kind of Blue was recorded in two sessions in 1959 with almost nothing written down, and it remains the best selling jazz record ever made.
- Whiplash and Soul are two of the best films made about any kind of music, and neither could have been about another genre.
- You are patient with a record in a way most people are not, and the ones you love took months to open up.

‘Helluva Boss: The Seven Sigils’ Makes Every Success More Complicated
A physical Tower drives the game, with players dropping Sin Shards inside and using what emerges to determine their available options. Its structure draws directly from the Seven Rings of Hell, incorporating seven decks and seven Sigils. Completing a Sigil increases the requirements of the Sigils beside it, meaning progress creates new problems for the group to solve. Finishing one objective can make the next harder, so players will need to consider how each success affects the rest of the table. Single-use Spell Cards give the group ways to manipulate cards and other game systems, although casting them requires Gold. That adds another decision to the puzzle: when is breaking the rules worth spending the resources? Groups can also remix the Sigils or begin with higher requirements to increase the difficulty. Those options give players a way to make later sessions more demanding once they’ve learned how to manage their experiments.
For SpindleHorse, the project also offers a chance to explore a part of the setting that hasn’t received as much attention in the series. Senior writer Adam Neyland explained: “There’s a whole side of the society in hell we haven't fully explored, and I’m excited to offer a sliver of that in the form of a super fun collaborative tabletop experience.” Warren James Games comes to the project following its $10 million Kickstarter for SPACE KING: The Board Game. Head of Games Nate Murray said the team worked closely with Medrano and SpindleHorse, describing the collaboration as “an absolute blast.”
The Kickstarter launch date, pledge prices, rewards, and estimated delivery window have yet to be announced. Fans can visit 7Sigils.com to pre-register, preview the game, and receive future updates. Stay tuned at Collider for more.
