"He wants Geno Smith to get killed": Craig Carton blasts "senile" Pete Carroll for not taking out Raiders QB vs. Broncos

NFL analyst Craig Carton had a lot to say about Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll after he refused to take Geno Smith out of the Denver Broncos game following a big hit from a defender. The Raiders lost a hard-fought 13-10 matchup against their divisional rivals, but Carroll's actions late in the game went unnoticed by most.

During Friday's episode of his "The Craig Carton Show," the veteran analyst called out Carroll for not taking his quarterback out of the game. He brought up all the shows that called out Dan Quinn for keeping Jayden Daniels on the field after he dislocated his elbow, saying that Carroll did the same while Smith couldn't walk.

"So you're in a tight ball game, a ball game that you have a chance to win and kind of ruin the Denver Broncos' attempt to get another game ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs and solidify themselves as a playoff team," Carton said. "And I know Kenny Pickett sucks also, but Kenny Pickett was able to walk.

"Yeah, Geno Smith couldn't walk. Either Pete Carroll is senile, and he's about 80 years old, and maybe he is senile and he's not paying attention to what's happening on the field of play, or he wants Geno Smith to get killed. Pete Carroll's done. It is time for someone to put him out to pasture like we do with a five-year-old thoroughbred; it's time to say good night, Pete."

The Denver Broncos sacked Geno Smith six times during Thursday night's game. One of those came from defensive lineman Zach Allen. Fans called him out on social media, saying he played "dirty" after Smith threw the ball and Allen hit him late while wrapping up the quarterback around his knees and dragging him to the ground.

Pete Carroll, Geno Smith, Raiders will face off against the revamped Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 11

After clashing against one of the best defenses in the league, the Las Vegas Raiders will take on another difficult challenge in Week 11. The Dallas Cowboys, with their newest additions, linebacker Logan Wilson and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, will pose a big threat to the Raiders.

At 2-7, their playoff chances are getting slimmer, but a win against the Cowboys could inspire them. The game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
