Miami coach Mike McDaniel shares his honest thoughts on benching Tua Tagovailoa
The Dolphins needed this win against the Steelers to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, after the loss, this is their second-straight campaign without a playoff berth.
In the postgame press conference, coach Mike McDaniel shared his honest thoughts on the possibility of benching Tua Tagovailoa in Week 16.
"I think it would be very rash and short-sighted if I even tried to tackle that option," McDaniel said. "I think I have to look at the tape and move I'll move on from there. "Realistically I'm supremely disappointed that, you know, we couldn't come out with a win out here. We had high expectations and they fell short."So far in 14 games, Tagovailoa has tallied 2,660 yards and 20 TDs passing.
The Dolphins next face the Cincinnati Bengals (4-10) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
