J. J. McCarthy has been in the spotlight for the Minnesota Vikings amid the quarterback's struggles. On Wednesday, McCarthy discussed how injuries have affected his performances.

McCarthy also said he had been getting reps at home while taking his dogs out for walks, which sparked some wild reactions from fans on social media.

The Vikings selected McCarthy with the No. 10 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. The signal-caller was forced to miss his entire rookie season after tearing the meniscus in his right knee in preseason.

McCarthy has had a few injury woes this season as well, but has started five games, having a 2-3 record. The Minnesota QB has posted 842 yards, six touchdowns and eight interceptions.

J. J. McCarthy and the Vikings (4-6) will square off against the Green Bay Packers (6-3-1) in Week 12 of the 2025 season on Sunday. The game will get underway at 1 p.m. ET from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Packers took down the New York Giants 27-10 in their Week 11 contest this past season. Meanwhile, the Vikings have suffered two straight losses.

Although McCarthy has had injury problems, Minnesota will need him to step up his game in the final stretch of the regular season if the team has aims to make the playoffs.
