A week ago, New York Knicks guard Josh Hart created a meme after pranking New York Knicks teammate Jalen Brunson during their NBA Cup win. While the Knicks hoisted the trophy and celebrated, Hart poked Brunson, a sequence that quickly went viral. Hart laughed off the incident after acknowledging that he was caught in “4K.”

While livestreaming on Twitch, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and rapper A$AP Ferg reviewed the scene. Brown reacted:

“That was indecent harassment. (Hart) just harassed Brunson indecently for the world to see. … That’s not the first time they did that. If you that confident to that on the stage, that s**t’s happened before.”

Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart have been longtime friends. They played for Villanova from 2015 to 18, where they helped the school to two championships. The two became Knicks teammates again after New York acquired Hart via a four-team trade in February 2022.

A$AP Ferg added despite Brunson and Hart’s friendship:

“Nah, that’s no New York s**t, I tell you that.”

Josh Hart is the prankster and the outgoing character between the two. In 2023, Brunson tweeted, asking Hart to delete his number after the defensive ace asked about breast milk on X.

Jaylen Brown and A$AP Ferg just couldn’t believe Hart would pull the prank on national TV. Hart remained unconcerned after the reactions, tweeting:

“IT WAS AI.”

Hart didn’t fool anyone with his comment. Brown was even confident that it was not the first time Hart pranked Brunson with that move.

Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson have helped Knicks shake off shaky start

NBA insiders predicted the New York Knicks to challenge for Eastern Conference supremacy. However, the team got off to a rocky start, entering November with a 2-3 record before finishing the month with a 12-6 mark.

Behind Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, the Knicks are playing even better in December. They are 8-2 this month, a stretch highlighted by a 124-113 NBA Cup win over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

Hart is averaging 13.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He provides the Knicks with versatility on both ends of the floor, whether as a starter or from the bench. Hart has been a vital factor in his team’s impressive turnaround.

Jalen Brunson is putting up 29.8 ppg, 7.3 apg and 3.5 rpg. Brunson’s clutch shooting and playmaking have been invaluable for his team.
