The Atlanta Hawks have missed the playoffs for two straight seasons. They’ve also had four different coaches over the last five seasons. After a disappointing couple of years, Hawks trade rumors have started to grow.
Many of those rumors have revolved around cutting ties with their star point guard, Trae Young. Young is a multi-time All-Star, but many are doubting his ability to lead the Hawks to a championship.
Another option would be going all-in for a star to pair with Young.
This is where Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report’s mock Hawks trade idea comes in. Pincus named the Hawks as one of the top five most realistic destinations for a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade.
Pincus says that Giannis’ agent, Alex Saratsis, is a potential candidate to be the Hawks' next basketball decision maker.

He added, “Saratsis, Antetokounmpo's agent and co-managing director of basketball at Octagon, has an extremely close relationship with the Bucks' star forward. If Saratsis takes the position in Atlanta, Antetokounmpo will have his most trusted advisor guiding the franchise strategically.”
The Hawks might not be able to put together as lucrative a package to get Giannis as some other teams, but they still have some nice pieces to offer.
They have last season’s number one overall pick, Zaccharie Risacher, who was just named to the NBA’s First-Team All-Rookie Team. They also have Jalen Johnson, who has proved himself as a young star on the rise.
Hawks fans should pray that this Giannis-Hawks trade rumor comes true, because if it does, it can turn their franchise’s trajectory around instantly.
