Rob Gronkowski is high on the New England Patriots ahead of the playoffs. After impressing in the regular season, the Patriots are set to enter the playoffs as one of the Super Bowl favorites. Heading into the season finale, the team is still in contention for the AFC No. 1seed.

In his appearance on the “Up & Adams” show on Thursday, Gronkowski was questioned by Kay Adams on which matchup he thinks will be the easiest for the Patriots in the playoffs. The legendary tight end picked his former team’s AFC East rival, the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills.

“First off, I would take the Bills,” Gronkowski said. “I already played them twice, should have beaten them twice, was up 21-0. And then they let down. I think they learned from that mistake. It was kind of good for the Patriots to lose that game. It really was.

“And they talked about that. Hey, we can learn from this situation. We were on a 10-game win streak. We didn't know what it's like to be up and then another team comes back. We were too high on ourselves at that moment. We let up in the game. It shows that we got to play all four quarters.”

With Josh Allen at quarterback, the Buffalo Bills are undoubtedly a team to be wary of. However, Rob Gronkowski picked the Bills as the easiest team for the Patriots in the playoffs. When questioned about this, he explained his choice despite knowing what Allen can do.

“Josh Allen is the scariest part of the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen will always be scary as a player, no matter what, until he's not scary anymore,” Gronkowski said. “But it's the team of the Buffalo Bills. You can run on them. They don't really have the weapons for Josh Allen to pass to. “If you can contain Josh Allen and not let him get out of the pocket, not let him run, not let him do his heroic stunts out there, where all of a sudden you're like, ‘Wow, how do you do that?’ And then they're back in the game. If you can just not let Josh Allen do what he does, you have a spot on him.”

Josh Allen completed 41 of 59 passes for 446 yards and five touchdowns with one interception, while getting sacked three times in the two games against the Patriots this season. Nonetheless, Rob Gronkowski believes the quarterback can be stopped by the Patriots’ defense.
