Harry Kane hails 'best partnerships in Premier League history' as Son Heung-min makes Tottenham exit

Tottenham Hotspur legend Son Heung-min recently parted ways with the Premier League side after a decade to join Major League Soccer club Los Angeles.

Son, who arrived at Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has made 454 appearances for the North London side, during which he netted 173 goals and provided 101 assists. His first and only trophy at Spurs came with their Europa League title win last season.

Earlier this week, Son joined Los Angeles on a two-year deal reportedly worth $26.5m.

Now, one of his former Tottenham teammates and club legend, Harry Kane, has paid tribute to Son as he concludes his 10-year-long journey with Spurs.

What did Harry Kane say about Son Heung-min following his Tottenham exit?

Kane started his senior career with his boyhood club, Tottenham, in 2009 and continued there till 2023, during which he became Spurs' highest goal scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, while also registering 63 assists.

He then joined Bayern Munich on a four-year contract, becoming the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history, priced at a reported €100m along with €10m bonuses in transfer fees.

Kane and Son have shared the pitch alongside each other for eight years at Tottenham.

Following the South Korean star's departure, Kane heaped praise on Son, hailing their partnership at Spurs as one of the best in Premier League history and told reporters,

"Massive congratulations to him and his career at Tottenham. First and foremost, [he is] a great person. I've got to know him really well as a friend, and just how humble he is and how good a guy he is," as per GOAL.

"I think as a player, you know, we had one of the best partnerships in Premier League history. We just had that connection that we loved."

Kane and Son have played together in 298 matches for Tottenham, during which they made 58 joint goal participations.
