Hardik Pandya joins 100-wicket club as Tristan Stubbs falls for 9 in IND vs SA 2025 3rd T20I [Watch]

Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya dismissed South Africa’s Tristan Stubbs to reach 100 wickets in T20Is during the third match of the five-game series. The contest is being played on Sunday, December 14, at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

The wicket came on the final delivery of the seventh over of the visitors’ innings. Hardik bowled a back-of-a-length delivery outside off, angling away from the batter. Stubbs played a loose shot away from his body and only managed an outside edge to wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, who completed the catch.

With this dismissal, Hardik became only the third Indian to reach 100 wickets in T20Is, following Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah.

The right-handed batter managed only nine runs off 13 balls. Stubbs’ dismissal left the Proteas struggling at 30/4 at the end of seven overs.

Put into bat, South Africa struggled early, losing opener Reeza Hendricks for a three-ball duck in the first over to Arshdeep Singh. In the following over, Harshit Rana made an impact as well, dismissing Quinton de Kock for one off three balls.

The right-arm seamer struck again in his second over, removing Dewald Brevis for two runs off seven balls and leaving the Proteas reeling at 7/3 after 3.1 overs. Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs then added run-a-ball 23 runs for the fourth wicket before Hardik Pandya dismissed the latter for nine.

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube also made an early impact, cleaning up Corbin Bosch for four on the first ball of his spell as South Africa lost half their side for 44 after 10.1 overs. At the time of writing, the visitors were 48/5 after 11 overs, with Markram (28) and Donovan Ferreira (4) at the crease.
