Veteran India batter Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, shared heartwarming messages as Mumbai Indians (MI) cricketer Tilak Varma celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday, November 8.
The Hyderabad cricketer has often been spotted spending time with Rohit’s family during the IPL and shares a close bond with the former MI skipper’s daughter, Samaira. In fact, after scoring his maiden T20I fifty against the West Indies in August 2023, Tilak dedicated his celebration to her.
As the southpaw turned 23, Ritika extended her warm wishes by posting a couple of pictures on her Instagram Stories, writing:
“Happiest birthday to our favourite.”

Meanwhile, India will head into the clash with a 2-1 series lead, having registered a commanding 48-run victory in the fourth T20I on Thursday, November 6, at Queensland.
A look at Tilak Varma’s record in the IPL and international cricket
Tilak Varma made his IPL debut in the 2022 edition with Mumbai Indians (MI) and has continued to be a key part of the franchise since then. He has featured in 54 matches, amassing 1,499 runs at an impressive average of 37.47 and a strike rate of 144.41, with eight half-centuries to his name.
On the international front, Tilak made his T20I debut against the West Indies in August 2023. Since then, he has represented India in 36 T20Is, scoring 996 runs at an average of 47.42 and a strike rate of 146.68, including four fifties and two centuries. Earlier this year, he played a crucial role in helping India clinch the 2025 Asia Cup, remaining unbeaten on 69 runs in the final against Pakistan.
Additionally, the 23-year-old has also featured in four ODIs, where he has scored 68 runs at an average of 22.66 and a strike rate of 57.14, including one fifty.
