In the interview published on December 18, Cabot recalled how paparazzi camped outside her house following the viral moment. She took accountability for the Coldplay concert incident and partially blamed alcohol. Kristin Cabot also shared a message to her children.

"I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss. And it’s not nothing. And I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay. I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up. But you don’t have to be threatened to be killed for them," Cabot said.

In the interview, the former HR professional shared that earlier this year, she discussed her troubled marriage with Andy Byron. Cabot revealed that Byron also mentioned his strained relationship, and this "sort of strengthened" their connection. The NYT article reported that Cabot developed feelings but restrained herself.

In a separate interview to the UK Times, Cabot spoke about what she faced after scandal.

"I think as a woman, as women always do, I took the bulk of the abuse. People would say things like I was a ‘gold-digger’ or I ‘slept my way to the top’, which just couldn’t be further from reality," she addded.
