“Okay y’all, I’m not gatekeeping. My weight loss came from life circumstances,” she explained.

After being released from prison in December 2023, her “lifestyle changed a lot.”

Blanchard served eight years in prison for convincing her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her abusive mom, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015.

“From commissary junk food to home-cooked meals and trying new foods,” Blanchard continued. “I don’t follow a workout routine (though I’d love one), I don’t limit my diet, and I don’t use GLP-1.”

“I wasn’t actively trying to lose weight… my whole life just changed and adjusted to freedom. 💗,” she admitted.

In April 2025, Blanchard said she had lost 25 pounds three months after giving birth to her daughter, Aurora, whom she shares with boyfriend Ken Urker.

“I’ve seen a lot of comments of people asking how I lost the weight so my weight loss journey started once getting out of prison so when I started eating healthier instead of prison food, the weight begin to fall off,” she divulged to fans in the comment section of her Instagram post.

The shot featured side-by-side photos that highlighted Blanchard’s slimmed-down figure.

For Blanchard, “eating twice a day” and having “smaller portions” were another game changer.

This past November, Blanchard shocked fans by showcasing her natural hair.

She confessed she had been hiding her real locks underneath wigs.

Blanchard’s real hair is a brunette, pixie cut.

“I had to cut it really short because nearly two years of bleaching completely fried it,” she elaborated at the time.

“I don’t feel comfortable with short hair, so I normally wear a high-quality wig while my real hair grows back healthy,” Blanchard detailed. “I’m giving my hair a fresh start so it can grow long again.”
