Greg Norman's son, Greg Norman Jr., has taken a jibe at the newly elected Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani. Former World No. 1 and former CEO of LIV Golf Norman Sr. has been one of the big names in professional golf.

Despite being the son of a two-time British Open champion, Norman Jr. did not follow in his father's footsteps. He had a brief career as a kiteboarder but has kept his passion for golf alive. Norman Jr., who's pretty active on X, often shares his takes on cryptocurrency and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). This time, he had a strong take on Zohran Mamdani.

For those unaware, Mamdani, a New York State Assembly member and Democratic Socialist, ran for the Mayor's chair in New York. The election ended with Mamdani defeating Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa by a landslide margin. An X-user titled Mayne (@TraderMayne) asked his social media followers to explain the news of Mamdani's victory in NBA terms:

"Someone please explain this to me in NBA terms"

Greg Norman's son did not mind hitting back at Mamdani. In the comments, he mocked the 34-year-old politician's abilities and labelled him as the "loudest average Joe." He wrote:

"They picked the loudest average Joe who has never played the game to be point guard and captain for the championship team."

@Tradermayne They picked the loudest average Joe who has never played the game to be point guard and captain for the championship team.

Although posting on political matters is not usually his forte, Greg Norman's son has expressed his support for the Trump administration. On October 21, the United States of America and Australia signed an exclusive deal regarding minerals. Norman Jr. reposted the news on his X timeline, celebrating the deal.

When Greg Norman slammed former US President Joe Biden

Back in 2021, the Morrison Government in Australia requested the then US President, Joe Biden, and his administration for a share of the COVID-19 vaccines, which were reportedly sitting on the shelves, awaiting expiry. However, reports indicated that the urgent request was rejected.

Shortly after these reports surfaced, Greg Norman sent a fiery rant at Biden and the US administration. In the caption of an Instagram post, the former CEO of the Saudi PIF-backed golf league wrote:

"Living in the States for 40+ yrs I am so dismayed with this article and the fact that little brother has to beg to big brother for unused vaccines about to expire after all we have done in support for eons. We have stood shoulder to shoulder in every war America has fought (except domestic) and this is a war.We are meant to be allies. Come on @joebiden @potus @whitehouse help little brother."

It's worth noting that Norman has openly lauded US President Donald Trump, proving his political stance with the Republicans. For those unaware, in a press interview, the Australian called Trump "a breath of fresh air."
