Joe Rogan recently discussed Israel Adesanya’s celebration and victory speech after ‘The Last Stylebender’ beat rival Alex Pereira at UFC 287.
Rogan was speaking to Cameron Hanes and Adam Greentree on his most recent episode of his podcast.
The UFC commentator and podcaster was discussing the intense experience of hunting and camping. He brought up Adesanya’s post-fight speech at UFC 287 where the then-champion discussed the level of happiness he got from beating his rival.
Pereira had Adesanya’s number in kickboxing and even knocked him out in their first UFC meeting. However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ got his revenge by knocking out Pereira and delivering, what Rogan called, one of the greatest speeches of all time:

“Greatest post-fight speech of all time.”Rogan then discussed the damage done to Adesanya from the fight and how Pereira’s leg kicks were so dangerous.
“His left leg was destroyed…he was talking to me afterwards ‘That mo********** got me again, I was thinking that. Before that, he got my f****** leg again.’”Rogan added that dealing with Pereira’s kicks were part of the problem for Adesanya in their first fight. However, he lauded ‘The Last Stylebender’ for his win and played his victory speech on the podcast.
Rogan also labeled Adesanya celebrating by mimicking shooting arrows into Pereira as great:
“For him [Adesanya] to catch it with that perfect right hand off the cage like that and that shoot the arrows into him. Greatest post-fight celebration, greatest post-fight speech of all-time. There’s not even a second place, except Rose Namajunas that one time when she was saying ‘I am the best.’”Check out Joe Rogan’s comments From 1:07:00:
When Israel Adesanya explained his UFC 287 celebration
Israel Adesanya also explained his viral arrow celebration after beating Alex Pereira at UFC 287. The celebration saw the then-champion shoot three arrows into Pereira, who laid down on the canvas after a brutal KO.
Adesanya explained that this was due to his three losses to Pereira coming into this fight. ‘The Last Stylebender’ added that he didn’t think much and just celebrated due to the emotions from the moment:
"I didn't even hesitate. Like, I didn't celebrate and then come back. I just got up straight away and... [Pereira's] thing is, he does the arrows. And people said I did three arrows cause he's beat me three times. I don't know, it's just a mix of conscience thing."Why did you not like this content?
