IndyCar star Graham Rahal was presented with the opportunity to feature in the FOX promo released ahead of the 2025 IndyCar season. The RLL driver recently came out and set the record straight while revealing the reason behind his rejection for the FOX promo.

IndyCar signed FOX as the official broadcasting partner ahead of the 2025 season, and the rights were transferred from NBC to FOX. The media group began IndyCar promos as early as the 2024 holiday season, and soon three promos featuring IndyCar stars were released.

Josef Newgarden’s promo was the first one to be released, and it featured NFL star Tom Brady. Alex Palou and Pato O'Ward’s promos followed the same path, and all three became a great hit among the fans. NASCAR reporter Jamie Little recently came out and suggested that Graham Rahal missed the opportunity when approached by FOX for the promos.

Graham Rahal featured in the latest episode of the Off Track with Hinch and Rossi podcast, where he was questioned about the FOX promo. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver revealed that the media wasn't going to make a separate promo for him, and was only giving him a cameo in Josef Newgarden’s promo.

“OK, there's all this hate lately going toward like a month ago. It's all about, oh, Graham was invited to do a campaign and he turned it down. No, no, no. I was invited to be like a Bush trimmer in Josef Newgardens thing. And I said, no. Bro, when they sent me this, when they sent me the script, I'm like, f that. You're not getting me to do that. I'm out. Like, I'm not doing that,” said Graham Rahal “Like, dude, there's something, you know, I was like, what the hell am I? Why are you even asking me to do that? Like, I was like, no, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. So I didn't. And people are like, oh, it came out that Graham was invited and he didn't do it,” continued the RLL driver
