Giants Super Bowl champion making run at ownership stake amid John Mara sale

The New York Giants have not had much success since the Super Bowl-winning days with Eli Manning under center.

The quarterback room has been a mess, to put it lightly, although the Giants added Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart ahead of the 2025 season.

Speaking of Manning, the two-time Super Bowl winner is trying to make a run at some stake in the Giants' ownership, per a report from Gillian Tan and Randall Williams of Bloomberg

"Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is putting together an investment group to bid for a piece of the National Football League team, according to people with knowledge of the matter."

In February, reports surfaced that the Mara family was putting up for sale as much as 10% of the ownership stake, and now Manning is trying to get into the action.

It's not surprising, either. In January, Manning said there is "one team" he would be interested in pursuing, and that is the Giants, the team he spent his entire NFL career with.

The Giants are an expensive franchise with a valuation of $7.3 billion, so even buying a 10% stake would be a big check for Manning to write.

But, it would be refreshing for Giants fans to see the Super Bowl-winning signal-caller be more involved in the day-to-day process.
