The New York Giants currently have only one selection on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft.
After trading back into the first round to secure Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart with the No. 25 pick, the Giants gave up the Nos. 34 and 99 picks as a part of the package.
New York holds the No. 65 overall pick, which is the first selection in the third round. There are several ways they can go about making an addition to either side of the ball.
In his Day 2 draft predictions, Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News has the Giants grabbing Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo.
"The Giants have shown a surprising amount of heavy interest in Skattebo, but he can be an important cog to support Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Malik Nabers in the offense. He would be a strong follow-up pick to Dart," Iyer wrote.
Skattebo was one of the many running back prospects the Giants brought in for a top-30 visit ahead of the draft. His size would make him an ideal complement to Tyrone Tracy on early downs.
With that said, the 219-pound running back was an excellent receiver in college, posting 45 receptions for 605 yards and three receiving touchdowns in 2024. That was already on top of the 293 carries for 1,711 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns he posted between the tackles.
Skattebo was a First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2024.
The Giants still have holes to fill on the offensive line and on the interior defensive line, but adding Skattebo to the backfield gives New York a strong offense.
