Giants’ Patrick Bailey makes first-of-its-kind MLB walk-off history involving grand slam and inside-the-park home run

What a pair of moments in the same season for Patrick Bailey.

This is the San Francisco Giants catcher who, earlier this season, showed off all the wheels he has on a walk-off, inside-the-park home run.

And on Friday night, he one-upped himself in basically the only way possible: a walk-off grand slam.

Bailey made MLB history in the process.

He's the first player ever to have both a walk-off inside-the-park homer and a walk-off grand slam in the same season, according to MLB Network's Sarah Langs.

The only caveat: Roberto Clemente sort of did both in the same season. But they were on the same swing. Yes, the Pirates legend hit a walk-off, inside-the-park grand slam.

Bailey is the only one to have both as separate events.

In fact, he's only the third player in MLB history to do both in a career, along with Tim Teufel and Billy Southworth. Now that's a list.

Bailey hasn't been a particularly strong hitter. He's batting .220, and he has just six home runs all season.

But two of those homers have been absolutely magical and historic, and that's pretty darn amazing.
