Giants haven’t made ‘final decision’ on Jaxson Dart after grim injury update

John Harbaugh isn’t ready to make any declarations regarding Jaxson Dart’s injury.

Shortly after multiple reports said Tuesday afternoon that the Giants quarterback could miss the entire season with a knee injury that is worse than initially feared, the head coach said wouldn’t divulge any significant updates.

“Right now, evaluations are ongoing. We haven’t got any final decisions yet,” Harbaugh said. “We’ve learned a lot more. I wouldn’t want to share too much until decisions get made.”

Jameis Winston, who struggled mightily in relief of Dart during Monday’s loss to the Rams, will take over as the Giants’ starting quarterback.

“Absolute faith in all our players. That’s why all the guys are here. Jameis is one of our guys who obviously is here for a reason. He’s a very good football player,” Harbaugh said. “That would go for any position, any player on our team. … Injuries in the NFL are part of it, at any position.”
