DENVER — As it turns out, the Giants did, indeed, make the playoffs this January despite their 4-13 record.

Even though they’re not among the NFL’s final four playing in the conference championship games this weekend, the Giants have just completed their own playoff in their search for a new head coach.

They won it all, and they even have a trophy to show for it.

John Harbaugh is the Giants’ Lombardi Trophy for the moment — until there are games to play again in a little less than nine months.
