Kentucky middle school basketball game ends in total chaos: ‘They just tased Ryan’

A middle school basketball game in Kentucky descended into chaos this week when a fight broke out on the court.

The wild turn of events occurred Thursday night between Emmalena and Carr Creek in the A-Team Championships at Knott County Central High School.

And as one would imagine, the scene drew shock from spectators, although the commentators calling the game remained calm.

Carr Creek led Emmalena 48-30 in the fourth quarter, and in the video from the contest, a player can be seen getting shoved on camera before a pack of adults immediately rushed into the game to separate the commotion.

“Look here,” one announcer said on the broadcast. “This ball game’s gotta get over.”

As the brawl dissipated and players were separated, the broadcast picked up someone on a hot mic saying, “They just tased Ryan. This ball game is over.”

The same voice continued to reiterate that the game was over, indicating that someone could get “hurt bad.”

The other announcer chimed in, “We’re going to end our live feed. This game has got to come to an end.”

And it did, fortunately for everyone involved.

Not to be outdone was the Belfry and Prestonburg high school basketball brawl — also in Kentucky — earlier this week.
