The San Francisco Giants are expected to be sellers at the 2026 MLB trade deadline, and there are plenty of players who are expected to be available.
Essentially, all but Logan Webb and Bryce Eldridge could be available for trade. Some others, like Casey Schmitt, aren't likely to be traded, but they could be available for the right price.
However, as Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic notes, when it comes to the trio of sluggers making over $100 million in Rafael Devers, Willy Adames, and Matt Chapman, the odds of a trade appear to be very slim.
Giants appear unlikely to trade Devers, Chapman, or Adames
"They're willing to trade any veteran except staff ace Logan Webb, but the possibility of them moving any of their three highest-paid players - first baseman Rafael Devers, shortstop Willy Adames, and third baseman Matt Chapman - still appears remote," Rosenthal reports.
The Giants might be open for business on all but Webb and a few youngsters, but finding a team willing to take on the contract of Devers, Adames, or Chapman is not going to be easy.
Devers is still owed over $220 million on his contract through the 2033 season, while Adames is making $28M per-year through 2031. Chapman has $100 million left on his deal through the next four years, making all three significant financial investments.

The Giants are likely hoping for a team to take on a lot of that money, as getting out of those contracts will give them a lot more flexibility in the years to come.
But, with such a wish unlikely to be granted, the Giants are looking a lot more likely to retain all three through the trade deadline.
While they could still trade one or multiple over the 2026-2027 offseason, at least for now, any trade with Devers, Adames, or Chapman appears unlikely.
Luis Arraez and Robbie Ray are much more likely to be traded, and even Jung Hoo Lee, Heliot Ramos, and Harrison Bader have a greater chance of being dealt than the trio of $100 million-plus infielders.
