Giants could trade pair of beloved outfielders by 2026 MLB deadline

The San Francisco Giants are going to be trade deadline sellers this summer, as their poor record has them squarely in the seller's bucket this season.

With the August 3 trade deadline one month away, it's important to know who could actually be traded. Robbie Ray and Luis Arraez are two players very likely to go, while Rafael Devers, Willy Adames, and Matt Chapman are trade options as well.

However, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand identified two beloved, fan-favorite outfielders as potential trade chips this season. It might not be likely, but the Giants could actually trade Heliot Ramos and/or Jung Hoo Lee this season.

Giants could trade Heliot Ramos or Jung Hoo Lee

"The Giants are said to have no plans to trade ace Logan Webb or any of their young players, though Heliot Ramos, Jung Hoo Lee, Harrison Bader, and Adrian Houser could be available if San Francisco decides to sell big," Feinsand writes.

While there's no guarantee that the Giants will trade these two outfielders, or even conduct such a fire sale, Feinsand's opening the door to both being potentially on the move is notable.

Bader and Houser wouldn't be surprising trade options, but dealing away Ramos and Lee, two beloved outfielders who are actually playing quite well this season, would be a bit of a surprise.

Lee has a .319 batting average with 94 hits, 1.3 bWAR, and an .805 OPS in the best year of his MLB career so far. He's finally breaking out in the third year of a six-year, $113 million contract.

Ramos, meanwhile, has a .767 OPS and a .268 batting average with six homers in 48 games played after missing quite some time due to injury.

However, since returning, in four games and across 14 at-bats, he has four hits, four runs scored, one triple, two homers, three RBIs, one walk, and a 1.190 OPS.

Trading Ramos and Lee, two beloved outfielders, would bring back some strong returns. Lee is 27 years old and under club control through 2029, while Ramos is 26 years old and under control through the 2029 season as well.

Feinsand is opening the door to Lee and Ramos getting traded, and while it's only speculation for now, it's a worrying one from an MLB insider.
