Giants' Arvell Reese is giving fans lots to talk about

1 hour ago 3

Welcome to New York, Arvell Reese. The New York Giants rookie is in the Big Apple and already making an impression.

The Giants selected Reese with their No. 5 overall pick, so expectations literally couldn't be higher. This team, and John Harbaugh, expect the most from Reese, and so far, the linebacker is delivering.

Reese got to work this summer at camp and set out to prove his value. Being a top-five pick comes with pressure, but he's handled it.

Reese is already making an impression

Jordan Raanan of ESPN is giving the Giants rookie major kudos in a feature laying out the NFL rookies and how they're performing this summer in camp.

"Reese has stood out throughout the summer," he states in the piece. "His physical style of play fits well with what the Giants are going to do, and he should be an instant asset for a run defense that struggled last season. Reese has been plugged in immediately as a starter at inside linebacker next to veteran Tremaine Edmunds."

Harbaugh is impressed, too. Earlier in the month, he told reporters that he's "very encouraged" by the rookie.

"I think he looked good today from what I could see. I can't wait to see the tape, but he's playing really well," he said after a practice earlier in the month, according to the Giants' official website. "He's been playing well the whole camp since he got here."

Harbaugh added, "You see the talent, obviously. I think he's very sharp for a first-year guy. He gets things right pretty much all the time, makes very few mistakes. He's a very serious-minded guy, and he's very determined. I mean, he's doing things well."

So, the sky's the limit for Reese. Now, it's time to see him go up against starters and veterans in the NFL.
