Russell Westbrook was warming up for a game with the Sacramento Kings on Friday when he was caught in a candid situation. In a TikTok video, Westbrook was seen dribbling before the game, but then missed four straight dunks on a mini hoop.

Westbrook's attempts clanked off the rim before returning to dribbling on the concrete floor.

In contrast to the online comments, Westbrook has been impressive for the Kings this season, averaging 14.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. He is shooting 44.1% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point line.

However, the Kings have struggled to start the season, winning only three of their first 13 games. They are currently riding a five-game losing streak.

Westbrook, who is now on his 18th NBA season, has taken over the starting point guard role from Dennis Schroder since their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The 37-year-old former league MVP signed a one-year deal with the Kings mere weeks before the NBA season started. The Kings are the seventh NBA team in the last eight seasons.

Russell Westbrook expresses opinion on Kings' early-season struggles

The Kings' early-season struggles may have been alarming, but for Russell Westbrook, there is still something to be optimistic about.

According to Westbrook, the Kings are in the process of getting to know each other on the court, believing that they are due for a breakthrough through being together.

"Honestly, I think we're just trying to figure it out as a team... but I do think there's a conscious effort of trying to figure it out and trying to figure out what works for us as a team," he said. "All we have is each other. Based on my experience, the best part of this game and this league is that stuff like this can either pull you apart or can pull you closer."

The Kings have not won a game since Nov. 5 against the Golden State Warriors.

Westbrook and the Kings will next be facing the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, Nov. 16.
