"Get a medic" - WWE champion attacked with weapon, possibly injured

A current WWE champion was attacked backstage with a weapon. He could've possibly suffered an injury.

Ricky Saints and Trick Williams have been feuding with each other for the past few weeks. The former AEW star even offered Williams a shot at his NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc. However, Trick was unsuccessful in winning the title. Therefore, last week on the black and silver brand, Trick threw a fit and tried to hold the show hostage until he got a rematch. This resulted in an all out brawl between the two men. As a result, a Last Man Standing match was booked for next week's show.

Tonight on WWE NXT, Ricky Saints and Trick Williams were involved in a backstage interview segment. Trick said that Ricky is still banged up from their match at Halloween Havoc. Ricky reminded Trick that he granted him a title shot, but instead of accepting defeat like a man, he tried to hold the show hostage. Ricky also claimed that Trick wants to use the NXT Championship like a security blanket, while this title is a representation of his hard work. Trick then made things personal when he asked Ricky to go to WWEShop.com if he wanted a title since the real NXT Title belongs to him. Ricky said he was done talking and went to meet Trick Williams in the hallway. Both men brawled for a bit before the former TNA World Champion laid out the NXT Champion with a steel pipe. One of the security personnel checked on Ricky and asked another one to "get a medic."

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was upset after Trick Williams lost at Halloween Havoc

Trick Williams has had a meteoric rise in NXT. One of his biggest supporters along the way has been Booker T. Therefore, when Trick challenged for the NXT Title at Halloween Havoc, the WWE Hall of Famer wanted him to win.

However, Trick was unable to regain the NXT Title at Halloween Havoc, which made Booker T upset. He even threw his headset away in frustration.

It will be interesting to see if Trick Williams will be able to regain the NXT Title next week.
