As reported by Los Siete Reinos, the renowned author said:

"Apart from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon, there are other Game of Thrones spinoff projects in development. "

Elaborating on what kind of projects can be expected to drop ahead, Martin further said:

What are the confirmed Game of Thrones spin-offs set to drop next year?

While Martin's latest updates on Game of Thrones spin-offs raise anticipation for what's coming ahead, viewers will not have to wait much to catch significant projects from the franchise.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is all set to release on HBO Max on January 18, 2025. Bringing another prequel to the franchise, the series follows Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg's journeys through Westeros amidst heightened political battles and chaos. It was also renewed for a second season ahead of the first installment's release. The official logline of the series reads as follows:

" A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends."

Along with this new series, Game of Thrones fans will also get to watch the third season of House of the Dragon in the summer of 2026. Continuing the story of House Targaryen, the series will bring intense fights and struggles for all the characters in the new season. While the official release date of the series is yet to be confirmed, it has been officially renewed for a fourth season.

Viewers can expect more details about the two prequel shows to drop soon in the coming weeks.
