San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle left the team's Week 16 win versus the Indianapolis Colts early due to an ankle injury, and just a day after suffering the injury, Kittle has received an injury diagnosis.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Kittle is dealing with an ankle sprain, described as mid-to-low. Fowler adds that Kittle avoided a high-ankle sprain, so this diagnosis is pretty good news for the 49ers.
"49ers tight end George Kittle is dealing with a “mid-to-low ankle sprain,” per source. Kittle said after the game he believed he avoided a high ankle and that is the case," Fowler wrote on X.
