Team India players and support staff had a movie night on Monday, December 15, ahead of the decisive fourth T20I against South Africa in Lucknow. In a video shared on social media, head coach Gautam Gambhir and keeper-batter Sanju Samson were seen sharing a laugh while heading towards the exit.

Gambhir has been facing some flak over Samson's exclusion from the playing XI despite Shubman Gill's struggles at the top. Nevertheless, the management has backed Gill to come good in the remainder of the games before the T20 World Cup 2026 kicks off on February 7. The ODI and Test captain showed signs of revival during the third T20I in Dharamsala with a run-a-ball 28.

Here's the video of Team India players during the movie night:

With the Men in Blue leading the five-game series 2-1, they will be riding high on confidence ahead of the fourth match. The home side delivered a near-perfect performance in Dharamsala to script a commanding seven-wicket win. New-ball bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana did the early damage, while Varun Chakaravarthy bagged outstanding figures of 4-0-11-2 to bowl the Proteas out for 117. Later, Abhishek Sharma set the tone with a 18-ball 35 as the hosts needed only 15.5 overs to hunt down the target.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue have won all their three T20Is at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. They beat the West Indies by 71 runs in 2018 and defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs in 2022. India's most recent T20I in the city saw them beat New Zealand by six wickets in early 2023.

South Africa will be keen to level the series and take it to the decider after an inconsistent display so far. The tourists lost by 101 runs in the series-opener but bounced back to win the second by 51 runs. However, their batting floundered yet again in the third T20I as Aiden Markram waged a lone fight with 61.
