Unstoppable force meets unmovable object in the first of two World Cup semifinal matches, with France's dizzying attack slated to share the ring with a stout Spanish defense. Suffice to say, this will live long in onlookers' minds, regardless of the result.

Les Bleus' roster is awash with starlight; Kylian Mbappe leads the way, moving ever so closer to Lionel Messi's goal-scoring record in the tournament. He is used to big goals in big games, having established himself as one of the sport's more frightful sights for opposition supporters.

The Spaniards will certainly be feeling the pressure. Luis De La Fuente's side is the best defensive team in this year's World Cup, conceding just one goal from six games. Things have been an adventure at the top of the pitch, although Nico Williams' return to fitness does appear to have improved things.

Nevertheless, with a defense adept at preventing clear-cut scoring chances, La Roja will feel confident it can hold Didier Deschamps' side quiet across 90 minutes (or more).

With that, here's a look at Fox's commentators for Tuesday's semifinal matchup between France and Spain.

France vs. Spain World Cup semifinal announcers

John Strong and Stu Holden

Fox's top team of John Strong and Stu Holden will call France vs. Spain from AT&T Stadium, the first of their two semifinal matches behind the microphone.

Rebecca Lowe and Rob Stone will serve as on-site studio hosts, while Jenny Taft and Natalie Gedra serve as on-site reporters for Fox.

Strong and Holden received both assignments for the World Cup semifinals with both matches a full day apart without being too far away from each other. The 41-year-old was on the call for Fox for the World Cup final in both 2018 and 2022, and he's on track to call another final with the network giving him both semifinal games this year.
