Former World Champion SHOCKINGLY knocked out of the Last Time is Now tournament on WWE RAW

The Last Time is Now tournament kicked off on WWE RAW tonight. A former World Champion was shockingly knocked out in the first round.

Damian Priest has been one of the top stars on the WWE roster for a while now. In recent weeks, he has been feuding with Aleister Black. On the 10th October episode of SmackDown, Priest faced off against Black in a Last Man Standing Match. During the match, the former AEW star hit Priest with a fireball following a distraction from Zelina Vega. Since then, Priest's eye has been a cause for concern.

Tonight on RAW, Damian Priest competed against Rusev in the first round of the Last Time is Now tournament. During the closing moments of the match, the former AEW star gauged the eyes of Priest and then hit him with his signature Machka Kick for the win. This was a shocking upset since many people expected Priest to go far in the tournament.

WWE star Damian Priest opened up about John Cena's retirement match

Ever since John Cena announced his retirement, there has been a lot of talk regarding who should face The Last Real Champion. Many wrestlers have also expressed interest in facing the Cenation Leader.

WWE cameras caught up with Damian Priest backstage, who stated that what a career-defining moment it would be to face John Cena in his final match.

"For me personally, it would mean the world. It is a career-defining moment. You know, you remember his first (match), right? When he came out with the Kurt Angle thing. How could you not remember his last? So, there is a reason why there is a tournament for that privilege," said Priest.

It looks like Damian Priest won't get the chance to face John Cena now, since he is out of the Last Time is Now tournament.
