Manchester United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League on September 14 at Etihad Stadium.
With the result of the first Manchester derby of the season, United have now secured only one win, faced one draw, and suffered two losses, ranking 14th in the league table with four points.
While addressing the press following the crushing defeat, Man United head coach Ruben Amorim was asked if he would change his system and tactics amid his squad's form and rumors about his dismissal, to which the Portuguese manager replied,
"There are a lot of things that you have no idea what happened during these months, but I accept that," as per Reuters.
"But I'm not going to change. When I want to change my philosophy, I will change. If not, you'll have to change the men. And we will talk about that every game that we lose. So I play my way, and I'm going to play my way until I want to change."
Now, former Man United stars Roy Keane and Gary Neville have shared their thoughts on Amorim and his squad, criticizing the Red Devils' efforts on the pitch.

What did Man United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville say?
Keane slammed Amorim's demeanour as a coach while questioning whether United players are 'truly' supportive of the 40-year-old's system and said,
"He should be fuming. He should be raging. I like managerial emotion, but I like my manager to show his anger as well. I just couldn't imagine being in a dressing room after losing the derby game 3-0 and everyone going, 'Yeah, did we all try?' He's on about people not being aggressive out of possession. When the goals go in, that's when you have to be aggressive. It's called smelling danger when you're a footballer," as per OneFootball.
"My worry is if the players aren't truly behind him in terms of the way they're playing in the system, because the results just haven't been good enough. Yeah, big worry."
Neville, meanwhile, pointed out the structural and tactical problems of Amorim's squad and added,
"When he talks about the two in midfield… United haven't got the right two in there. Whether that's Casemiro, Mainoo, or Fernandes – none of them fit. That's a big problem for him. When United go a goal down and those three in front start to be a bit more risk-taking, that two then look wide open. None of them are good enough to defend that space. You'd need Keane and Vieira, Gerrard. That's why they get found out against decent opposition."
"I just think it's too confusing for the players. I think it's easier to go with four at the back and push someone in midfield rather than go with a five at the back."
Neville also mentioned that Amorim 'needs to be better' to continue at Old Trafford.
"Since his first Premier League game, I think he's got less points than some of the worst teams in the league. If you're going to be at Man Utd, it needs to be better than that. Right now, he's not getting it right."
To which Keane added,
"It's more hope than belief at this moment. We're watching week in, week out – not convinced. I hope they can prove us wrong."
Man United will host Chelsea at Old Trafford in their next Premier League clash on September 20.
