The Toronto Blue Jays have been strongly linked with their former All-Star infielder Bo Bichette, who became a free agent after the AL East franchise's World Series loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the Blue Jays have been adamant about a reunion with Bichette in free agency, the two-time All-Star has been linked with the Boston Red Sox, the Los Angeles Dodgers and most recently the San Francisco Giants, worth $4 billion (per Forbes).

MLB.com's Andrew Simon feels that Bichette could be a "perfect match" for the NL West team and former San Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt echoed the sentiment on MLB Network Radio.

“The Giants would be really interesting,” Shildt said. “Man, what a good fit. And fits for the ballpark over there too at Oracle Park. You know, you mention the line drive stroke… And they’re built to win and he’s a winning player, so it’d be a good fit in San Francisco for him.”

The Giants have a strong core of infielders, which includes Matt Chapman at third base, Willy Adames at shortstop, and Rafael Devers at first base. However, second base is a potential weak spot for San Francisco, which could lead to a move for the former Blue Jays second baseman.

Blue Jays urged to move for All-Star slugger over Bo Bichette

The Blue Jays have been one of the busiest this offseason and their signing of Dylan Cease on a $210 million deal showed their willingness to spend this offseason.

With Toronto not shy of spending this offseason, MLB.com's Andrew Simon urged them to move for four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker over Bo Bichette.

"The Blue Jays could opt to simply bring back Bichette -- especially given his willingness to shift to second base -- but landing Tucker’s lefty bat to pair with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. could be an even more impactful move," Simon wrote. "Tucker’s rare combination of skills would be a boon to Toronto’s title hopes, and his arrival would establish without a doubt the Blue Jays’ status as a franchise that can attract (and land) elite talent."

Apart from Bichette, the Blue Jays have also been linked with All-Star infielder Alex Bregman as a potential backup in their pursuit of their former slugger.
