Former Mets star Yoenis Céspedes asks $30M for his massive Florida ranch near the team’s spring training facility

Former Major League Baseball star Yoenis Céspedes is asking $30 million for his expansive ranch in Port St. Lucie, Florida, a price that would make it one of the most expensive private residential sales in the area.

Known as La Potencia II — a reference to Céspedes’s nickname, “The Power” — the roughly 378-acre estate is located just minutes from the New York Mets’ spring training facility. 

The Wall Street Journal was the first to report on the listing.

The Cuba-born outfielder purchased the land in 2016 for approximately $15 million, a year after signing with the Mets. He later sold off much of the original 3,000-plus-acre tract, retaining this portion for his personal use.

Completed in 2018, the estate was designed as a multipurpose retreat that reflects Céspedes’s dual passions for sport and seclusion.

At the center of the compound is a roughly 15,785-square-foot main residence with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two powder rooms. The property also includes a professional-grade kitchen, soaring ceilings and indoor/outdoor living areas.

Additional structures bring the total built square footage to more than 31,000.

Amenities include a full gym, a state-of-the-art batting cage, a game processing facility, a 12-stall horse stable with training yards and a barbershop modeled after Céspedes’s personal grooming preferences. 

Outside, the grounds feature a 40-by-20-foot heated pool and spa, a screened patio and tropical landscaping.

While the property offers complete privacy, it sits within close reach of Port St. Lucie’s sports infrastructure. 

Céspedes — who also played for the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics — was a fixture at Mets training camps and was known for his flamboyant arrivals, often turning up in luxury vehicles or on horseback.

The ranch drew wider attention in 2019 when Céspedes fractured his ankle on the property during what was reported to be an encounter with a wild boar. The injury accelerated the decline of his professional playing career.

The listing is held by Julian Johnston and Lina Agosto of the Corcoran Group.

A spokesperson for Céspedes did not respond to The Post’s request for comment on the reason for the sale.
