A certain former WWE Intercontinental Champion has rejected the idea of going back to the company for another run. This came after a fan suggested that they should do this.

Dustin Rhodes had a total tenure of more than two decades with WWE. This ended in 2019, as he ended up signing with AEW. He has been with the company for more than five years and has even become a pivotal part of the ROH roster as well.

The veteran took to X/Twitter to post about his recovery after getting double knee replacement surgery a few months ago. A fan replied to his post and urged him to bring his persona as The Natural to WWE. Rhodes replied to this and rejected the idea, and reiterated how he was with AEW. It seems like this won't change anytime soon.

"Hey!! NOOOOO. I am @AEW" Rhodes wrote.

The former WWE Superstar recently talked about his recovery progress

Dustin Rhodes has not competed since late July, when he faced off against Kyle Fletcher in a Chicago Street Fight. He ended up dropping the TNT Championship to the Protostar that night, and then began his hiatus to get surgery for his injuries.

Earlier this month, Dustin reunited with his brother Cody Rhodes. He mentioned how Cody had visited him and gifted him with some cigars.

A fan replied to the post and wondered whether The Natural was doing better amidst his recovery. He replied to this and mentioned how he was in a good position and was recovering slowly and steadily.

"Yessir. Slow and steady boss"

A lot has changed in both AEW and ROH since the last time Dustin Rhodes was around. Kyle Fletcher no longer holds the TNT title, and the Sons of Texas are no more, with Sammy Guevara turning on them a few months ago. It remains to be seen how things will go when he finally returns to the ring.
