A former Dallas Cowboys defender who started one game for the team in 2025 has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Linebacker Logan Wilson took to Instagram to call it a career after six seasons, nearly all spent with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Wilson released a long statement thanking the Bengals, Cowboys, his family, coaches and teammates, and football.

A third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by Cincinnati, Wilson made his mark as a 66-game starter for the Bengals and was a key piece to the franchise's 2021 team that made it all the way to the Super Bowl.

During the 2021 season, Wilson snagged four interceptions. From 2021 to 2024, the Wyoming product tallied over 100 total tackles in each year.

After five and a half seasons in Cincinnati, Wilson was traded to Dallas during the 2025 trade deadline after seeing decreased playing time with the Bengals. Wilson played in just seven games for the Cowboys before being released ahead of 2026 free agency.

Wilson spent a few weeks on the free agency market before deciding to hang up his cleats. We wish Wilson the best of luck in his post-playing career and congratulate him on an excellent career in the NFL.
