There is a former All-Pro free-agent wide receiver looking to make a comeback in the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders should take note.
That former All-Pro wide receiver is Odell Beckham Jr., who told Kay Adams at the Fanatic Flag Football Classic, where he took part, that he is hoping to play in 2026.
"Looking forward to hopefully getting an opportunity to play this year, and hopefully, this is kinda just a starting point," Beckham said.
Beckham sat out the entire 2025 campaign. He last played in the NFL in 2024, when he reeled in nine catches for 55 yards in nine games with the Miami Dolphins.
In the year prior, the 33-year-old appeared in 14 games for the Baltimore Ravens and was productive, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
While his best days are behind him, Beckham could still amount to a strong depth option for a team that needs help at wide receiver.
Why Steelers, Bills, Raiders may have interest
The Steelers finally landed a running mate for DK Metcalf after trading for Michael Pittman Jr., but Pittsburgh's depth still leaves a lot to be desired.
Beckham admitted last August that he actually had conversations with Pittsburgh's projected quarterback for 2026, Aaron Rodgers about playing for the Steelers.
“I love him, and we’ve had conversations,” he said on the Club Random Podcast with host Bill Maher. “I won’t say that it’s not a possibility and I won’t say that I haven’t had any communication.”
Perhaps those two will revisit those talks, assuming Rodgers returns, which is expected.
The Bills made a much-needed significant addition at wide receiver with the trade for DJ Moore, but like the Steelers, the Bills don't have reliable depth beyond the top two wideouts, Moore and Khalil Shakir.
Las Vegas has question marks up and down its wide receivers room.
Jalen Nailor is the only significant addition the team has made at wide receiver and joins a group with unproven 2025 draft picks Dont'e Thornton and Jack Bech, and veteran Tre Tucker.
Nobody is saying Beckham will be a savior or even a huge contributor for any of these teams, but the Steelers, Bills and Raiders could do worse when it comes to adding more depth.
