A former AEW star has earned himself a big time shot at a World Championship out of the Jacksonville-based promotion. This huge win has shaken the world of professional wrestling and has garnered a lot of buzz for the star.
The former AEW star is none other than Bear Bronson, who has competed in several matches in Tony Khan's company over the past few years. However, he has been working as a freelance wrestler in 2025, and this week he competed in a TNA World Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal in TNA.
The high-stakes showdown included names like BDE, Brock Anderson, Eric Young, and Moose. Despite stiff competition, Bronson managed to pick up the victory. This win has earned him a title shot against the reigning TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian. The two stars will wrestle on the first episode of TNA iMPACT in January 2026.

Taking to X, Bronson declared that TNA is his new home moving forward. The 30-year-old star went on to say that he is aiming to establish himself at the top of the promotion. With a stern tone, Bear claimed that he is coming after the TNA World Championship with full force.
