Former 76ers star James Harden reportedly popping up in trade rumors, despite Clippers hot stretch

Former Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden is once again popping up in trade rumors, and it sounds like the door isn’t completely closed on another potential move down the line.

As all 76ers fans know, when Harden gets upset, anything can happen.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Harden’s name has been circulating behind the scenes as teams look for players to add during the trade deadline.

“Former 76ers player James Harden, in particular, was often discussed in league circles as someone who might want to relocate (again) to a more competitive environment,” Amick wrote.

Harden might want to be traded if the Los Angeles Clippers struggle ahead of the deadline, as he still only needs to win a championship to complete a ridiculous career.

However, while the Clippers have struggled a good bit throughout the year, it’s important to look at them winning six in a row. Of course, we can look at them in 11th place in the Western Conference, but Los Angeles still has a ton of talent and should figure things out.

While a move might seem unlikely, front office personnel around the league still see him as someone who can come in and make an impact. For good reason, too, as Harden is averaging 25.9 points and has carried the Clippers.

For now, it’s just speculation, but with Harden, that might not go away if he gets frustrated.
