The PFF crew has begun releasing its summer scouting content ahead of the college football season.
And the group appears to be quite high on the Florida Gators defensive line.
On "PFF's College Football Show," Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman rated Florida's defensive line No. 4 in the country, behind only Texas Tech, Alabama and Clemson.
Why so high?
Well, it starts with the dynamic duo of Tyreak Sapp and Caleb Banks, who led all returning Power 4 defenders with 53 pressures over the past two years.
"(Florida) might have two first-round picks on their defensive line with Tyreak Sapp and Caleb Banks," Chadwick said.
Of course, the group is also bolstered by the return of George Gumbs Jr..
Last season, Sapp, in particular, experienced a big breakout, registering 46 total tackles, seven sacks and two forced fumbles.
Wasserman indicated their might be a dip in interior defensive line play, particularly against the run this fall, after the loss of NFL fifth-round pick Cam Jackson.
But the upside is too hard to ignore, especially if class of 2024 Mainland (Florida) five-star recruit LJ McCray delivers on his lofty hype.
After three consecutive losing seasons - a rare feat in Gainesville - Florida bounced back with an 85- mark last season.
Thanks to the emergence of star quarterback D.J. Lagway and depth along both the offensive and defensive lines, the Gators could improve upon last year's mark.
