FKA Twigs released her third studio album, Eusexua, back on January 24 this year, five years after releasing Magdalene. Pitchfork gave the album a 9.1 rating, but according to the singer, she wasn't immune to criticism from her fans. She said in a Rolling Stone interview, published on November 12, that some fans "can be hard" on her. She said:

"I think at times, like I saw stuff online and I'd be like, what? Like people don't like it? And I think some of my fans maybe have, you know, they can be hard on me."

She said that she gets that there are criticisms and chalks it up to being part of her job. However, beyond the criticisms of Eusexia she reads online, FKA Twigs said that many more fans seem to like her new music. She said:

"It's been confusing because sometimes I've thought like, 'Oh, maybe people don't like it.' And then I'll go and play a festival with 80,000 people and they're all screaming the words back at me."

The singer added that the "incredible journey" of receiving conflicting opinions about her album made her realize everything that happens in real life, like having thousands of people singing along to her songs while she's playing onstage, is what the truth is.

Eusexua is an 11-track album, with songs like Eusexua, Girl Feels Good, and Drums of Death, which features Koreless.

FKA Twigs is gearing up for the release of Eusexua Afterglow

It may only be less than a year since she released Eusexua, but FKA Twigs is set to give her fans a new album. Her fourth studio album, Eusexua Aflterglow, is finally coming out on Friday, November 14. She first dropped the teaser video for the new project around the end of September 2025. It came after her confirmation of the album while onstage at Lowlands in August.

Also in September, she shared the official cover artwork on social media, writing:

"AFTERGLOW, a visceral waterfall, as you leave the rave in search of your next wonder, give her your consent to kiss, splash and caress your naked skin."

She further described the new album, adding, "Eusexua stripped you down and her aftermath is hungry, raw, and ready to be adored." FKA Twigs followed up the announcement with a preview of the upcoming project via the extended music video of Cheap Hotel, directed by Jordan Hemingway.

It's not going to be a deluxe version of the previous album, but rather a whole new one. Press materials from Atlantic Records described the new album as "an entirely new body of work that will serve as a continuation of her critically acclaimed album Eusexua."

FKA Twigs has since released another single from the upcoming album, Predictable Girl. It's going to be another 11-track collection, with songs like Love Crimes, Slushy, Los All My Friends, and Stereo Boy. It will also feature a song with PinkPantheress.
