Dustin Rhodes breaks silence after hinting at a character change amid AEW hiatus

Dustin Rhodes has been absent from All Elite Wrestling for the past few months. Following his brutal Street Fight with Kyle Fletcher at the end of July, The Natural had to undergo a double-knee replacement surgery this past August and is currently recovering from that. But recently, the former WWE star hinted at a potential character change upon his return to AEW.

Taking to X, Rhodes stated that he misses being a heel in professional wrestling. This statement sparked waves among his fans who started speculating that it could be a tease towards a character change down the line. However, when a fan straight up asked this same question to the legend, he had a different reaction that once again raised many eyebrows.

In the same thread on X, The Natural tried to clear the air by claiming that a heel turn probably will not happen in All Elite Wrestling. Such reactions by Dustin Rhodes has managed to garner him a lot of attention.

Dustin Rhodes set to make big wrestling appearance outside of AEW

While Dustin Rhodes may be absent from All Elite Wrestling, he is active in the world of professional wrestling. This month, The Natural is set to make a big wrestling appearance outside of AEW with some big names in the industry.

Taking to X, the former AEW TNT Champion announced his appearance for a Rhodes Wrestling Association show later this month. RWA is hosting a special event on the occasion of its first anniversary. The show titled Fall Fury will take place at the Wild West Country Dance Hall in Cedar Park, Texas on November 23rd.

Apart from Dustin Rhodes, the show will feature stars like Billy Gunn, Deonna Purrazzo, and Zilla Fatu in top matches. With that said, it will be interesting to see how things will turn out for the 56-year-old from here on.
