“Fire Pete Carroll” “Tom Brady is the reason we are in this mess”: Calls mount by fans to sack Raiders HC after 31-0 blowout loss vs. Eagles

Pete Carroll was thought to be a godsend when the Las Vegas Raiders hired him to be their head coach for the 2025 season. Fifteen games in, however, he is now staring at an early termination.

On Sunday, the Silver and Black lost 31-0 at the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, the second time they had been shut out. And once again, the offensive unit put up abysmal stats.

Kenny Pickett, making his first start of the year, covered a paltry 64 yards and was intercepted once on 15 completions. He was also sacked four times.

Ashton Jeanty was limited to only 35 yards on nine carries, while Brock Bowers amassed only 28 yards on six catches.

Calls for the franchise to replace Carroll emerged aplenty after the game:

The raiders had 66 total yards of offense in a whole game! Why does Pete Carroll still have a job? Mark Davis it's time for you to make a statement FIRE PETE CARROLL

@HondoCarpenter Tom Brady is the reason we are in this mess, stop it. Since he’s had a say by bringing in Mcdaniels he’s is the only one that’s benefited the least from the Raiders downfall. He’s been sble to buy his share of the team at fraction of what he should have and has his hands alll in

@GreenKing1300 @Raiders Geno and Chip Kelly both suck. It’s time to fire Pete Carroll for creating this dumpster fire.

Fire everyone in the front office starting with John Spytek. Then launch Pete Carroll and his nepo sons into orbit. Start fresh.

You have to fire Pete Carroll if you are the Raiders. Second time this season you have been shutout

FIRE Pete Carroll and his garbage son!

The Eagles, on the other hand, were buoyed by tight end Dallas Goedert, who gashed the secondary for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns on six catches. Star running back Saquon Barkley had a decent rebound with 78 yards and a score on 22 carries, while fellow offensive stud AJ Brown had a touchdown on two catches.

Pete Carroll defends Raiders after shutout loss at Eagles

After the game, Pete Carroll has some strong words about his players - the motivational kind. During his conference, he said:

“These guys fought their a– off. That was the result of our play right there. I have a lot of respect for the roster we just played against, and maybe they didn’t look like it in the last couple of weeks or whatever, but they played like they were capable, and we couldn’t stop.”

Nevertheless, he was blunt about what happened on the field:

“I think we got beat. This is a very well-loaded team, and they just did their thing today, both sides of the ball, and they really took it to us. ... They ran for a bunch. They threw really highly efficient stuff that wasn’t taxing. We couldn’t make it hard on them, and we couldn’t get out of our way on offense. We couldn’t get yards.”

The Raiders' next game is at the Houston Texans next Sunday. Kickoff is at 1:25 pm PT on CBS.
