Fantasy Football Waiver Wire FAAB Advice Week 12: How much to bid on top pickups, free agents

2 hours ago 1

Whether you're thinking about just this week or upcoming weeks, how should you prioritize the pickups, either through the running of the waiver wire or allocation of your free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB)? Let's break down how to allocate your budget for this week's crop of potential waiver additions.

Week 12 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire QB pickups, streamers

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (available in 53% of Yahoo! leagues)

Richardson went back to starting and went right back to compiling like he did as a rookie, with his arm and legs. The Jets' defense is not what it once was, but even so, getting 3 total TDs with 272 passing yards and 32 rushing yards was impressive. He needs to be rostered at worst, and he might playable for some vs. the Lions.
Recommendation: Bid 4-5% of FAAB

WEEK 12 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/ST | Kickers

Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (available in 52% of Yahoo! leagues)

Nix threw for 300-plus yards for the first time (307) Sunday vs. the Falcons and also spread the ball around all over the field to exploit matchups in posting 4 passing TDs. He didn't need to pad with rushing yards to deliver as expected. He gets the Raiders next, so that keeps the rookie quite startable in Week 12.
Recommendation: Bid 4-5% of FAAB

Drake Maye, New England Patriots (available in 86% of Yahoo! leagues)

Maye is having some good days again with a combination of fearless passing to a variety of targets with some ample rushing stats. He could again make his big plays and TDs outweigh his mistakes again in facing the Dolphins on the road.
Recommendation: Bid 1-2% of FAAB

Week 12 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire RB pickups, streamers

Trey Benson, Arizona Cardinals (available in 80% of Yahoo! leagues)

Benson is representing the clear backup RB options that managers must get for the stretch run, along with fellow rookies Ray Davis (77% available) and Blake Corum (85% available). Make sure you get the insurance before someone else does in the most obvious No. 2 situations.
Recommendation: Bid 4-5% of FAAB

Cam Akers, Minnesota Vikings (available in 83% of Yahoo! leagues)

Akers caught a TD while working as the backup behind Aaron Jones. He's seen his opportunities bump up with each week, and he could be very productive should Jones land on the shelf
Recommendation: Bid 4-5% of FAAB

Week 12 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire WR pickups, streamers

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans (available in 96% of Yahoo! leagues)

Westbrook-Ikhine has now had three great fantasy games in the past four, operating as the essential co-No. 1 with Calvin Ridley minus DeAndre Hopkins. NWI clicked well with Will Levis even before his 98-yard TD vs. the Vikings. He needs to be rostered just as D-Hop was while in Tennessee.
Recommendation: Bid 3-4% of FAAB

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (available in 56% of Yahoo! leagues)

The Packers got him a lot more involved as a big-play No. 1 in the return from the bye with Jordan Love, and Watson went back to his old tricks. Watson has had extra time to get to full health and outside of Jayden Reed, he proved he's the high-upside Packers wideout to roster over the others.
Recommendation: Bid 3-4% of FAAB

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers (available in 59% of Yahoo! leagues)

Johnston had only two catches against the Bengals, but his knack for scoring on long plays continued. The Ravens can be burned deep in the next game, and with Ladd McConkey on fire in the slot, Johnston should see some favorable single coverage deep shot chances in what figures to be another high-scoring game between two top QBs.
Recommendation: Bid 2-3% of FAAB

Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots (available in 99% of Yahoo! leagues)

Bourne returned to his identity of the Patriots' best veteran wideout, becoming an immediate security blanket for Maye as they further opened up the passing game for the rookie. The Dolphins aren't the best spot for him, but he can't be ignored on the wire after catching all five targets for 75 yards and a TD vs. the Rams.
Recommendation: Bid 0-1% of FAAB

Ray-Ray McCloud, Atlanta Falcons (available in 83% of Yahoo! leagues)

McCloud was busier as soon as Darnell Mooney (hamstring) was ruled out of action against the Broncos. Should Mooney need to miss some time after the Week 12 bye, the former 49er can be picked up and played in his place for desperate managers.
Recommendation: Bid 0-1% of FAAB

Week 12 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire TE pickups, streamers

Will Dissly, Los Angeles Chargers (available in 77% of Yahoo! leagues)

Dissly helped Herbert stretch the field right along with Johnston and McConkey with a 4-80-1 line in a great matchup against the Bengals. He can be effective again in a terrific passing game spot at home vs. the Ravens in the Harbaugh Bowl.
Recommendation: Bid 0-1% of FAAB

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (available in 67% of Yahoo! leagues)

Ertz has been difficult to trust for a reliable volume of targets from Jayden Daniels, but the Cowboys' reeling defense can have trouble with their familiar NFC East foe. Ertz should be unlocked more down the stretch as an intermediate target.
Recommendation: Bid 0-1% of FAAB

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (available in 55% of Yahoo! leagues)

Henry got a healthy nine targets against the Rams, turning them into six catches for 63 yards. He was quiet in the first meeting with Miami, but he should remain a key target for Maye vs. a defense that just got ripped by Brock Bowers.
Recommendation: Bid 0-1% of FAAB

Week 12 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire D/ST pickups, streamers

(Note: Do not spend any of your FAAB budget on D/ST! Get them for $0 after waivers run!)

Washington Commanders (available in 80% of Yahoo! leagues)

The Commanders are the best of limited streaming options with six teams having a bye in Week 12. They draw the Cowboys' shell of an offense in a must-rebound revenge game for Dan Quinn's group.

Los Angeles Rams (available in 50% of Yahoo! leagues)

The Rams have stayed rather productive in good matchups with their youngsters coming through with the needed fantasy-friendly plays. The Eagles aren't the easiest spot, but L.A. can be used if needed in deeper leagues with the emotional home prime-time bump on SNF.
