Fantasy Football QB Rankings Week 3: Who to start, best sleepers, top busts

1 hour ago 3

The 2026 NFL season has already provided plenty of surprises through two weeks, and the quarterback position is no exception. Josh Allen has been nearly unstoppable to open the year, while Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff, and Dak Prescott all enter Week 3 coming off impressive performances.

At the same time, injuries have dramatically changed the fantasy landscape. Jayden Daniels will miss Washington's Week 3 matchup with Seattle because of his elbow injury, while Jaxson Dart is expected to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury against the Rams. Caleb Williams is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury, and Tyson Bagent has also entered concussion protocol, leaving Chicago's quarterback situation unsettled heading into Monday night.

With two weeks of production now available, these rankings weigh both season-long expectations and what we've seen on the field so far. Matchups and rushing upside are also important, particularly for quarterbacks who can create fantasy points outside of the passing game.

Keep reading for our full breakdown of the quarterback position for Week 3 of the 2026 fantasy season.

Week 3 QB Sleepers

Tyler Shough

Shough has quickly become one of the biggest fantasy surprises of the season. He has thrown for 662 yards and four touchdowns through two games while adding a rushing score, and he gets a favorable matchup against the Raiders in Week 3. With New Orleans playing at a fast pace and Shough already showing strong chemistry with Chris Olave, he has legitimate QB1 upside despite entering the season outside the fantasy spotlight.

Bryce Young

Young is another quarterback who has dramatically exceeded preseason expectations. He has 648 passing yards and six touchdowns through two weeks, including three passing touchdowns in each game. Cleveland presents a tougher matchup, but Young's early-season volume and efficiency make him an intriguing option for fantasy managers dealing with injuries at quarterback.

Week 3 QB Busts

Justin Herbert

Herbert has not produced at his usual fantasy level through two weeks, with 401 passing yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Now he faces Buffalo, which adds another layer of difficulty. Herbert still has the talent to have a big game, but his early-season production and Week 3 matchup make him a risky start compared with other quarterbacks in his range.

Bo Nix

Nix has shown flashes but has struggled to consistently generate fantasy production, with 419 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions through two games. He also has three fumbles and only eight rushing yards. Against the Rams in Week 3, Nix could have trouble reaching the ceiling fantasy managers were hoping for when they drafted him.
