After a season in which he didn't appear in a single game, an Atlanta Falcons' first-round pick from 2019 is retiring.

Kaleb McGary's retirement was made official in an announcement on Wednesday.

His agent posted the news on social media:

It's certainly a disappointing end to McGary after a quality career. He was hurt in the 2025 preseason, placed on Injured Reserve and never played again.

McGary was originally the No. 31 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington.

He spent his entire career with the Falcons.

Out of 93 games McGary appeared in, he started 92.

Before his injury-robbed final season, McGary had never missed more than three games in a season while being a reliable right tackle for Atlanta.

And if you want additional amusing factoid about McGary -- he had a reception as a rookie, and it went for negative-3 yards. So he finishes his career with minus-3 yards receiving.

Aside from that, though, he was a quality lineman, and the Falcons will miss him.
