"F**k you" - Jon Rahm expresses frustration after hitting a poor shot during Round 3 of LIV Golf Virginia

Jon Rahm is currently competing in the third and final round of LIV Golf Virginia. While playing at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, the Spaniard came across an unprecedented setback, which left him frustrated. The moment has gained quite a lot of traction on social media since.

Ahead of next week's U.S. Open at Oakmont CC, Rahm has showcased commendable form at LIV Golf Virginia. However, during Round 3, the Spaniard suffered a poor shot during his round.

Shortly after the shot trajectory went off the way and it landed in an unexpected spot, he could not hold back his outburst. Jon Rahm's frustration with himself during the weather-delayed round was caught by the mic. NUCLR Golf shared the clip on X (previously Twitter), where the LIV Golfer could be heard clearly saying at himself:

"🎙️🔥 #HOT MIC — Jon Rahm unloads after a poor drive at LIV Virginia. 🤬 ... “F*#% you…” “you absolute f—ing moron.”"

Jon Rahm started his third round on Sunday (June 8) with a 68 from Round 2. In the beginning of the round, he experience major hurdles. Starting from hole 1 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Rahm shot back-to-back three birdies. However, the golfer went on and scored a birdie on the par-5 hole 5.

A memorable Round 3 moment of Rahm came when he scored an incredible eagle on the 583 yard par-5 hole 8. Following that remarkable feat, Rahm scored two consecutive birdies on holes 9 and 10. As of now, he stands tied for eighth place of the LIV Golf Virginia leaderboard.

The Legion XIII captain has less than a week before he steps up to challenge his fellow LIV Golfers for the U.S. Open title. Jon Rahm, the 2021 U.S. Open winner, seemed quite confident with his performance following the first round of LIV Golf Virginia.

After 18 holes, Rahm finished with a solid 67, scoring a total five birdies. After the round ended, the Spaniard sounded confident with his performance (quoted by ASAP Sports):

"Sometimes we're in rounds where you can have a stretch of holes where you're not doing anything particularly too bad and things are complicated, but I was able to minimize that and play really solid golf at the end." "...I had a lot of looks -- even before and after the rain delay. So from 11 through 18, I had a lot of makable looks, a lot of good putts. Only made the one on 14, but that's golf. I think I should be very pleased with how comfortable and how well I played today."

As of this writing, Rahm finds himself four shots behind the current leader Graeme McDowell.
