Perez Hilton has reacted to Aaron Phypers' recent comments about Denis Richards. The actor compared Richards to Nick Reiner, who has been accused of allegedly murdering his father, Rob Reiner, and mother, Michele Singer Reiner.
Aaron Phypers and Denis Richards filed for a divorce in July this year. They have made multiple allegations against each other since then. Richards claimed that Phypers allegedly choked and hit her while filing a domestic violence case. Meanwhile, Phypers has denied these allegations and claimed that she consumed drugs.
On Friday, December 19, Phypers appeared in court after his hearing in a felony domestic violence case was pushed to Monday. He spoke to TMZ outside the court and said:
“I’ve never assaulted her. I’ve never done anything. I don’t chase her down. This is all show. She’s just playing this as a game. It’s like the Me Too Movement. You know, I don’t know what else to say. What happened to Rob Reiner recently?” “There’s a lot of influence there, guys. And I’m not calling stuff out, but do a drug test. You’ll see what I’m saying. When people are on a bunch of substances and washing it down with other substances, what happens? Is their mental sight good? I don’t know what else to say. This is how to ruin people 101.”Perez Hilton reacted to these statements on his website, writing:
"Excuse us? What? ... Aaron thinks Denise, his alleged victim, is similar to the Hollywood couple’s suspected murderer… What the f**k! Is he trying to say she may hurt him while under the influence, too?" "Why bring up the Reiner murders in the first place while talking about Denise if he wasn’t then? We mean, beyond the insinuation about the Bravolebrity, it is unnecessary and insensitive in light of a massive tragedy," he added.Rob Reiner and Michele were found dead in their LA apartment earlier this month with stab wounds. Their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Nick has, notably, dealt with substance abuse issues since he was 15.

In July, Richards was also granted a temporary restraining order against Phypers. In her filing, she detailed instances of alleged domestic violence, writing (h/t Page Six):
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack."Aaron Phypers has denied these allegations. In October, he was charged with "two felony counts of injuring a spouse, and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat", as per Page Six. He was arrested but posted a $200,000 bond to get bail within hours.
Meanwhile, in November, Denise Richards was granted a permanent restraining order against Phyper. The estranged couple's divorce proceedings are also ongoing.
