Digital comics start-up Neon Ichiban has been on a tear this week, announcing partnerships with Udon and Rebellion. And they’ve just added Legendary Comics to their line-up.
The Legendary Comics library includes Monsterverse titles (Godzilla vs. Kong, Skull Island), the Dune cinematic mythology, Pacific Rim universe, and original series from its Legendary Comics imprint.
“At Legendary, our mission has always been to tell bold, cinematic stories across every medium,” said Robert Napton, Senior Vice President and Publisher at Legendary Entertainment in a statement. “Partnering with Neon Ichiban allows us to connect our comics and graphic novels with fans everywhere—through a platform that celebrates storytelling, artistry, and innovation as much as we do.”
“Legendary Entertainment has built worlds that define modern pop culture—from Dune to the Monsterverse,” said David Steinberger, CEO & Co-Founder of Neon Ichiban. “We’re thrilled to bring their incredible catalog and future releases to Neon Ichiban, giving fans new ways to experience and collect these stories.”
“Legendary’s comics have always extended the storytelling power of its films and franchises,” added Chip Mosher, CCO & Co-Founder of Neon Ichiban. “We’re proud to have their lineup on Neon Ichiban, offering fans everywhere the chance to read, collect, and engage with these epic universes in a whole new way.”
Neon Ichiban is currently ramping up as a new player on the recently revitalized digital comics scene with Dark Horse, DC, DSTLRY, Dynamite, IDW, Kodansha, Mad Cave, Marvel, Oni Press, Titan, and Vault Comics on the roster. They offer comics on a same-day-as-print basis, as well as digital collectibles, limited-edition variants and sketch covers.
Legendary Comics has been a player on the scene for more than a decade but often flies below the radar. Maybe it’s time to check in with the folks there?
